Such a Sweet Surprise.................

What a sweet surprise gift I got yesterday. My sweet precious baby girl and Joshua went to lunch at Cracker Barrel. Anyone who knows me, KNOWS I LOVE Cracker Barrel!!! Not just for the food but for the wonderful shopping! LOL Anyway, she comes home with two bags....one she tells me is biscuits ~ oh, how I love their biscuits ~ and the other one she just hands me. So.....I take a look inside and she's now telling me she got me something ~ for no reason whatsover! I pull out this box and open it and there is just the most precious mother and daughter figurine! Of course tears start welling up in my eyes as I open it. Now Joshua forgets to take the receipt out of the bag and the nosy mama I am I see it. Oh, no! Now I'm telling Catherine NOT to get me anything for my birthday in August which she proclaims she's doing anyway! I felt so good and so bad at the same time as she works SO hard for her money, but....as she told me: 'mom, do you think I'm going to go to Cracker Barrel and not get you anything?' I love this 'mother and daughter.' That is exactly how I feel about her. My arms are always around her in my heart loving and protecting and caring for her. And as the figurine shows the daughter holding her mother ~ she knows I will forever hold her close to me. As I have said numerous times I feel so very blessed to have the children I have. So that was a nice surprise!



Now this is the shelf I got last week at the GW with Rita. I am in a quandry here as I really like it the way it is ~ so what do I do? Should I prim it up or leave it as is? I can always cut one exactly like it and prim that one, so.....I need some feedback here. What would ya'll do? I think it is so pretty with the painting on it and I really hate to paint over it. So? Any suggestions? Tomorrow is my WWW so if I'm going to do anything with it, I need to do it tomorrow.


Here is my girl O.C. lazin' out on my bed. She has decided much to Cat's dismay but to my delight to start sleeping with me at night. She has always slept with Cat since O.C. is really her kitty, but for some reason she has decided to be my little shadow. Do you think she knows I need that comfort at night? I think she does! AND it is very comforting for me to have her sleep with me. She knows when it's time to go to bed and in she'll come or I'll be looking and calling for her only to find she's already in the bedroom. I think part of how this started is I leave my bedroom door open at night now that Dale isn't here so she can come and go as she pleases. She lays right beside me and loves on me before it's time to go to sleep and I must say going to bed at night isn't as hard as it used to be now that I have my little companion.
